Tal Shpantzer is a freelance photographer, she graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1996 with a B.F.A. degree in Photography/Media Art. Tal spent several years shooting in Prague & Europe. She lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.

Her work has been published and exhibited nationally and internationally. Most recently in The New York Times Lens Blog, HBO, MTV and W Magazine, a portrait of the artist Kiki Smith.
She is the recipient of a Soros Center for Contemporary Art grant for her Limbus Diary series, and a Morrison Vanderlip media award.
She is currently working on her first book publication, and collaborating with Obscure Object Films, to animate her photos into live videos for clients and multimedia installations.
