The 5 looks I shot were customized to the designers collections and her inspiration of the Chinese Zodiac.

I  translated Jade’s five collections into the natural elements of fire, water, earth, metal and wood and found ways to connect the stories in Jade’s collection, with looks evolved with Mua: Seevon Chau and model Danni Wang on set.Screen shot 2013-02-13 at 7.24.16 PM

Her unique approach to East/West cultural fusion, and the upcoming celebration of the year of the snake inspired our whole team.: The B&W “Snake” photos were together as a collaboration with Obscure Object Films, which used the photos as a part of their Fashion film as well.

This was shot a few seasons back, backstage at Cushnie Et Ochs fashion show NY. I love their bold yet feminine designs. I frequently shoot with mirrors, it gives more power to the one being photographed.

Art Dept.: Caroline Pham, Stephen Dirkes, Pamela Liou, Zon Chu, Ioana Popescu, Carlos Vidal, Jeff Niesen.

Obscure Object Films is very excited to be in production on jewelry designers, Langoliers, short film for their upcoming RED collection. Stephen Dirkes created a story that draws on many of Zon and Pamela’s design influences putting together the collection as varied as Karl Jung’s “Red Book” and 19th Century occultism to Alchemy, the principle location in Stephen’s tale for Langoliers is set in a 19th Century Alchemist’s laboratory.

Director Stephen Dirkes & filmmaker Viktor Vokjan

A fantastic art dept. was assembled to create our set, fabricate puppets, construct props, design spinning, animatable devices, etc, etc ,etc., with elements largely sourced from Stephen & artist Joel Voisard’s personal collection of tables, lenses, gears, 1930’s erector sets.

Designer’s Pamela Liou & Zon Chu with Caroline Pam and Ioana Popescu

Caroline Pham

Art Director, Caroline Pham coordinated the effort and created beautiful design elements such as custom “wallpaper” stamps to integrate and unify the elements we were working with to the Langoliers collection.

Designer Zon CHU

Ioana Popescu

Each of the 4 “props” or tables and stands on set functions as an individual set or world in miniature as the story takes us on a journey in stop motion animation through the Alchemist’s process of turning jewelry into magic.

Ioana Popescu perfecting the Orrery design

Not only required to look good in super-zoomed-in macro detail, but each prop had unique animation requirements as well. Ioana, Jeff, Pamela and Zon all have jewelry making backgrounds that made the cutting, welding, grinding, fitting, etc possible, Go Team!

Loved getting invited to meet new designers and brands by Showroom Seven Patricia Bessa!

Some fresh new Designers I loved – Paste, Roark, WILL, Bed Stu, Liebskind.

Small world- the ENK show was a few steps from Witzenhausen Gallery, where my photos are exhibited.

Being partial to photography, my top select at the ENK show was PASTE, from Brooklyn!:

Paste’s graphic tees, designed by artist Jason Laurits, are hand-silkscreened in Brooklyn, NYC.

Artwork is printed on Made-in-the-USA, 100% cotton tees that are enzyme-washed to battle shrinkage and to give a vintage-soft feel.

Through a digital medium, Laurits copies, cuts, and pastes over and over again to create the bold, whimsical, sometimes insightful, sometimes irreverent collages that Paste has become known for.

Laurits pulls from photographs of his own and ones found in the public domain, as well as old maps, vintage fabrics, family keepsakes, antique wallpaper, and anything else he can think of to get the perfect tee image.

Loved the feel of Liebeskind! @ Showroom Seven

This is the second season that I photographed, the Ralph Rucci Collection.

This season was much more of an intimate affair. A fab Salon style viewing, of over 60 pieces, at the Rucci Showroom in Soho, Unlike the previous year, I shot The Rucci collection, at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, where The runway and viewing space were massive in comparison.

Rucci is the first American Designer to show at Paris haute couture under his own name.

Simply stunning craftsmanship and fine detail

This is one of my fave pieces.

I adore his Vision.
