Tal Shpantzer is a freelance photographer, she graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1996 with a B.F.A. degree in Photography/Media Art. Tal spent several years shooting in Prague & Europe. She lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
Her work has been published and exhibited internationally, including Prague House of Photography(1996), Frankfort Art,Germany(1999); Camera Obscura Gallery, Tel Aviv(1998); Tiroche Auction House(1998); Richterova Villa, Prague(1999); Starter & Sorter Gallery, Prague(2000); Artlink International Young Art, New York(2006), Rabbitholestudio Gallery, New York(2007), vBrooklyn Video Festival 2007. She is the recipient of a Soros Center for Contemporary Art grant for her Limbus Diary series, and a Morrison Vanderlip media award.
Tal is represented by Witzenhausen Gallery.
She is currently working on her book project, and collaborating with The labtest group on animating her photos into live videos for multimedia installations.
